In Victoria, a drone is not always necessary to capture interesting angles of the incredible shapes that waves make. Perched atop a mighty cliff somewhere near Peterborough, I was able to shoot this awesome specimen as it merged and sculpted itself for a moment into this flawless vortex above the sand. The title of this image is a Japanese word, Yūgen, which means ‘mysterious profundity’, and is often used in reference to the sense of the hidden beauty of a thing, as opposed to the literal physical beauty of a thing.
All images are printed on the highest grade fine art materials available. I’ve chosen ILFORD Gold Fibre Gloss as my go to cotton paper, and for canvas the top of the line ILFORD Galicia. All canvas prints are sealed for protection and longevity. Both mediums are museum grade, and will last a lifetime (and longer). Using a local, Geelong based fine art print lab (www.aeternalab.com), their knowledge and expertise combines with the large format Epson fine art printer, not to mention the top of the line Epson Ultrachrome inks that produce stunningly accurate and vibrant fine art prints.
