It’s hard to pick a singular best day of surf over a surfer’s life, but for me, this was definitely one of them. I can comfortably say it was in my top five, ever. Big, clean, heavy and perfect, this was a day that snapped many boards, but also handed the lucky few who were present some of the most amazing rides of their lives. This image was taken early in the morning, and after watching this one shape up and erupt along the sand, I just had to throw the camera in the car and paddle out to attempt to ride some myself. A day I won’t soon forget.
All images are printed on the highest grade fine art materials available. I’ve chosen ILFORD Gold Fibre Gloss as my go to cotton paper, and for canvas the top of the line ILFORD Galicia. All canvas prints are sealed for protection and longevity. Both mediums are museum grade, and will last a lifetime (and longer). Using a local, Geelong based fine art print lab (www.aeternalab.com), their knowledge and expertise combines with the large format Epson fine art printer, not to mention the top of the line Epson Ultrachrome inks that produce stunningly accurate and vibrant fine art prints.
