A delightful little wave rolls into the silvery-warmth of a summer morning, at home in Barwon Heads. I swum alone for a couple of hours this particular session, immersed in the serenity, giggling to myself at how lovely it all was. Gannets skimmed the waves and dived for breakfast just beyond the break, a little seal popped its head up and stared at me curiously from a few metres away, and I shot and shot until the tide got too low and I was getting dragged about the reef like a marble in a draining bath. I was back on land in time for breakfast, and headed straight to Kyosk in Ocean Grove for a coffee to top off the contentment. This photo sums up those epic mornings at home so well for me. Perfection.
